Best of Winners for Missy

Had a great day Saturday watching some whippets and people near and dear to my heart show at Credit Valley KC. Strange to not be in the ring, but got some nice photos! First want to share a few of Minnie’s beautiful mother Missy, “Forgetmenot Miss Take”, bred by Joanne Boudreault and co-owed by Yves Wirtz and Joanne. Missy is pictured here at 9 ½ years old finishing her Canadian Championship, winning Best of Breed from the classes and a Group 4th. Yes that’s right, 9 ½!!!

Missy was awarded Best of Winners by Bo Bengston at the Canadian National Specialty in 2012 which brought her to 9 points, but then life got in the way and she was not shown again for a number of years. With time creeping up, Yves decided to go for that last point and so they stepped in the ring together again on Saturday. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the whippet cheering section when the judge pointed to Missy. Could this guy look any happier??!!! Great job Yves, and well deserved
