Gracie's mother is our beautiful Minnie (AmCh GCh Forgetmenot My Lil Angel) and her sire is our handsome Portuguese import Oscar (AmCh PortCh Night Flyer Da Roseira Brava).
All of the pups in Grace's litter were beautiful, but she really worked her way into my heart with her amazing temperament. She is bright and focused like her mother, but also very calm and loving like her sire. Gracie is quick to learn, eager to please and loved to show from the first time I took her into the ring. We happen to think she's pretty special, and are thrilled that the judges seemed to agree! Grace finished her championship with 3 Best of Breed wins from the classes, Best in National Specialty Sweeps, a Best Puppy In Show and Best Bred By Exhibitor in Show.
In 2023 I made the very tough decision to let Gracie go live with my now dear friend Patricia Beader, not because she wasn't perfect but because she IS perfect! Patricia had fallen in love with the breed but wasn't a good candidate for a puppy as she had a very senior dog at the time. Patricia accepted that graciously and started attending shows and spending time with our whippets. The more involved she became the more obvious it was to me what a gem she was, and how perfect her and Gracie were for each other!
Patricia has since learned to show and piloted Gracie to her Grand Championship. She is also being mentored in breeding and puppy rearing and is very much part of the Wunder Whippets family, so we still see Gracie often.
